Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 24, 2026

1. Our Commitment

GambleGuard is built for people in recovery, and recovery support should be available to everyone. We are committed to making gambleguard.net, the GambleGuard Chrome Extension, and all of our recovery tools usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, and screen magnification.

2. Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. We are actively working toward full conformance and treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time milestone.

3. What We've Done

Measures we take to support accessibility include:

  • Semantic HTML structure and a logical heading order on every page
  • Full keyboard navigation for menus, buttons, and forms
  • Color choices and text intended to meet WCAG AA contrast on our warm palette
  • Descriptive labels and alternative text for meaningful images and icons
  • A responsive layout that adapts to zoom and small screens without loss of content
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences, so animations and calming exercises ease off for users who request it
  • Crisis and support resources kept prominent and reachable from every screen

4. The Chrome Extension

Our Chrome Extension is designed to be readable and operable. The full-screen block, the toolbar dashboard, Streak AI, the journal, and the breathing tool use high-contrast text, clear focus states, and keyboard-accessible controls. Recovery and helpline resources are never blocked, so help always stays one click away.

5. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of and working to improve:

  • Some third-party wallet and blockchain flows used by the Commitment Vault, which are outside our direct control
  • Live AI chat regions, where we are refining screen-reader announcements for streamed responses
  • Occasional gaps in newer features that we address as we find them

If you hit a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us. Your feedback directly shapes our fixes.

6. Feedback & Reporting an Issue

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of GambleGuard. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information on this site in a different format, contact us and we will do our best to help and to fix the issue. We aim to respond within 5 business days.

7. Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought. We review new features for accessibility, act on the feedback we receive, and update this statement as our tools evolve. You can also review ourPrivacy PolicyandTerms of Service.
